Tata Altroz Overview.

Tata Motors has revealed its upcoming premium hatchback, the Altroz at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. An all-electric version of the Altroz, which boasts of a range of over 300km, has also been showcased. The standard car wil come to India in mid-2019, while its electric sibling will arrive in the market in 2020. The name Altroz is inspired from Albatross, a sea bird native to southern oceans of the world. The Altroz will be the first Tata car to be underpinned by the AlfaARC platform. It will compete in the premium hatchback segment against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz. It will feature an LCD display along with an analogue speedometer, just like the Harrier. It will also get a free standing 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a climate control system as well. As for the powertrain, it will borrow the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Nexon, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This petrol engine will develop 100PS/140Nm in the Altroz.
